Senior Exploration Geologist - Finland at KoBold Metals

KoBold Metals is seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist to lead property evaluations, generate targets, and oversee field programs in Finland. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with data scientists, senior technical advisors, and the executive team to identify valuable discovery opportunities. KoBold is committed to innovation in mineral exploration, utilizing AI models and novel sensors to guide exploration programs.

Responsibilities Include:

• Demonstrating commitment to health and safety, environment, and community relations.
• Analyzing geoscientific datasets to determine exploration potential and prioritize targets.
• Designing, budgeting, permitting, and executing field programs.
• Providing technical guidance to local project teams.
• Collaborating with data scientists.
• Assisting in local community engagement and stakeholder communications.

Requirements:

• Strong technical knowledge of ore deposit types.
• Experience with sediment-hosted stratiform copper or magmatic sulfide deposits is an advantage.
• Field skills and experience in various exploration methods.
• Proficiency in standard desktop software (e.g., ArcGIS or QGIS).
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Experience coaching and training geoscientists.
• Commitment to high health and safety standards.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mineral exploration.
• B.Sc. degree in geology or related field.
• Fluent in Finnish and residency within Finland, preferably Lapland.
