Security Engineer Intern, Cymetrics at OneDegree

Cymetrics, a rare Taiwanese company that develops its own information security tools, is seeking a Security Engineer Intern. The intern will have the opportunity to participate in the development of security tools, strengthen the functions of the security platform, and conduct research on penetration testing or open source projects with other team members. Cymetrics values a flat organizational structure and respects the opinions of every member.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and research information security vulnerability incidents.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving information security product errors.
• Collect and organize security product requirements from customer support and business perspectives.
• Imitate and write new security requirements documents based on existing documents.
• Follow up on security incidents and create incident reports based on existing templates.
• Assist with other operational matters.

Requirements:

• Able to commit 3 days per week for at least a 6-month period.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and operate under tight deadlines.

• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Basic understanding of Linux, command-line operations, script languages, network principles, TCP, and firewalls.
