Software Engineer (Web Platform)

Job Description

SmartAsset is seeking a Software Engineer to join its web platform team. The engineer will be responsible for the investor funnel, a critical user journey that powers the advisor matching service. The ideal candidate will contribute across the stack and collaborate with product, design, and data partners to optimize the platform.

The Software Engineer will be part of an Agile Scrum team responsible for running and scaling critical lead management services. They will actively participate in making key technical decisions, documenting and improving processes, and identifying tech debt.

Responsibilities:

• Be part of a dynamic engineering team.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and scaling full-stack web applications.
• Expertise in Java (or similar) and ReactJS.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases.
• Solid knowledge of Git.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions (preferably AWS).
• Passionate about coaching and mentoring.
• Skilled at identifying risks and creating mitigations.
• Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
