Software Engineer (Java, React) at SmartAsset

SmartAsset is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Core Services team in Colombia. The Core Services team supports the systems that SmartAsset depends on to support Advisors, validate and deploy leads, and provide custom integrations for enterprise clients. The Software Engineer will play a crucial role in scaling critical lead management services and ensuring the integrity of advisor and investor data.Responsibilities include collaborating with product teams and stakeholders, making key technical decisions, documenting technical processes, identifying tech debt, and communicating effectively in a remote environment.

• Running and scaling critical lead management services.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of engineering experience with highly available systems.
• Proven track record in Java (or similar) and ReactJS.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases.
• Solid knowledge of Git or similar source control.
• Experience with cloud solutions (preferably AWS).
• Passionate about coaching and mentoring.
• Skilled at identifying risks and creating mitigations.
• Startup mindset, thriving in fast-paced environments.
