Software Engineer, QA

Job Description

SmartAsset is seeking a Software Engineer to join their QA team. This role focuses on enhancing application stability and quality through scalable automated solutions. The engineer will lead testing efforts, create testing solutions, and contribute to a new automation suite.

Responsibilities:

• Support testing needs of an Agile Scrum team.
• Develop new automated tests for frontend and backend systems.
• Collaborate with QA team members to standardize the QA suite.
• Migrate existing Selenium automation tests to Playwright.
• Work closely with developers and product members.
• Identify opportunities to improve software quality and efficiency.

Skills/Experience:

• 3+ years of QA experience with a focus on automation.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience developing automated suites with Java and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Git.
• Familiarity with testing APIs through Postman or similar tools.
• Experience developing load and stress tests.
• Experience supporting development teams with testing frontend and backend components.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with test management tools such as TestRails or Xray.
• Ability to build tests plans and support the team with both manual and automated testing.
