Job Description
Alpaca is seeking an Engineering Team Lead for Product Operation Management. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining tools and systems that streamline Alpaca's back-office operations. The ideal candidate will improve the efficiency and reliability of systems, enabling seamless operations for millions of transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Mentor and lead engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Partner with stakeholders and engineering/product leaders to define and execute technical strategies.
- Establish and enforce engineering processes that align with company policies, data security, and compliance standards while improving efficiency and feature delivery.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop elegant, scalable software solutions.
- Actively contribute to the development of core systems and tools, ensuring high-quality code and scalable architecture while setting an example for engineering best practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience, including 2+ years in leadership or mentoring roles.
- Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like React, with experience in scalable application development.
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript, state management libraries, and building scalable web applications.
- Experience with GoLang, including API development and backend service integration.
- Strong understanding of design systems, UI/UX principles, and accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CI/CD practices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
