Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Alpaca, a US-based brokerage infrastructure technology company, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and develop its large-scale cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure low latency and reliability, forming the foundation of Alpaca and empowering millions of users. This role involves close collaboration with software engineering teams and offers autonomy in designing and implementing solutions.Responsibilities include:

• Management of PostgreSQL database clusters, focusing on scaling, fine-tuning, and improving stability and observability.
• Managing Kubernetes clusters and infrastructure service components such as message brokers and monitoring tools.
• Managing the underlying infrastructure in Google Cloud, including network connectivity.
• Participating in on-call rotations to monitor alerts and address engineering team requests.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role or similar field.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL replication, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Significant production experience with Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong troubleshooting skills in PostgreSQL, K8s, and cloud environments.
