Senior Software Engineer - Trading API

Job Description

Alpaca is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Trading API Team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining systems and services that form the foundation of Alpaca. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining interactive products within Alpaca's ecosystem, ensuring seamless, high-quality experiences for internal users and end customers.

Role Involves:
• Architecting and developing web applications.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create scalable software solutions.
• Owning the delivery of high-visibility features/projects.
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to the technical strategy.

Requirements:
• Minimum 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with modern programming languages like React, GoLang, Python, preferably in Go and React.
• System design skills with object-oriented data modeling, service-oriented architectures, system abstraction.
• Hands-on knowledge with Bash, Linux & Docker. Kubernetes experience is a plus.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
