Machine Learning Applied Scientist (Reinforcement Learning)

Job Description

OfferFit is seeking a Machine Learning Applied Scientist with a focus on Reinforcement Learning to address real-world customer communication challenges. The role involves collaborating with the CTO and Engineering team to enhance sample efficiency, test credit assignment algorithms, and improve action space featurization. The Applied Scientist will also contribute to OfferFit's product strategy and roadmap.

Responsibilities Include:

• Improving RL algorithms for performance and robustness.
• Developing advanced diagnostic tools.
• Conducting research on state-of-the-art RL techniques.
• Implementing monitoring and observability tooling.
• Working with engineering teams to improve OfferFit’s platform.
• Participating in customer implementations.
• Contributing to OfferFit’s product strategy.

Requirements:

• Exceptional coding skills with experience in writing clean, well-designed code.
• Problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges with novel ML approaches.
• Motivation to translate research into tangible business outcomes.
• Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
• Structured and organized approach to planning and execution.
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field with RL focus or MS with professional RL experience.
• Ability to partially overlap and support North America time zones.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 10-15% for company events.
