Muck Rack, a leading SaaS platform for public relations, is seeking a collaborative and self-driven Engineer, Search to join their rapidly growing team. The Engineer will collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure customers have access to high-quality content. They will contribute to large-scale technical projects involving extensive data volumes and support data pipelines and features leveraging ElasticSearch and Kafka. The role also involves shaping the company's engineering culture and processes.Role involves:

• Collaborating with software engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Contributing to large-scale technical projects.
• Supporting data pipelines and features leveraging ElasticSearch and Kafka.
• Shaping the company's engineering culture and processes.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Proficiency with Python or a similar language.
• Proficiency with Django or a similar framework.
• Experience with ElasticSearch or an equivalent search engine.
• Experience with Kafka or other stream-processing technologies (preferred).
• Experience with MySQL or Postgres (preferred).
• Experience working on a complex, high-traffic site (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Pride in code quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Logical approach to problem-solving.
