Job Description

Capital on Tap is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their growing Finance team in London. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in the Shoreditch office.

The Financial Accountant will play a critical role in the financial reporting process, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and all reporting requirements are met. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, passionate about financial operations, and eager to contribute to the development of efficient and robust financial processes.

Role Involves:

  • Supporting month-end accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for multiple group entities.
  • Ensuring transactions are captured and reconciled correctly in line with IFRS or UK GAAP.
  • Assisting with tax computations, including VAT filings, corporate tax provisions, and annual tax reporting.
  • Preparing and substantiating monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Supporting the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the group and its subsidiaries under IFRS or UK GAAP.
  • Working closely with external auditors during audits.
  • Improving reporting processes and controls.
  • Collaborating with other finance team members to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA-qualified (or equivalent) accountant.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.
  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance.
  • Exposure to consolidated UK statutory reporting is highly desirable.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other integrated financial systems is an advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable with a proactive approach.
  • Strong communication skills.
