Inworld, a leading provider of AI technology for real-time interactive experiences, is seeking a Staff/Principal AI Researcher to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, designing, and implementing machine learning models and algorithms, contributing to cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence.In this role, the AI Researcher will:

• Conduct cutting-edge research to advance AI models and capabilities.
• Develop and implement novel machine learning techniques.
• Train and evaluate large-scale ML models, optimizing for quality, latency, and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate results internally and publicly.
• Mentor junior researchers and engineers.

Requirements for this role include:

• PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong background in machine learning research.
• Experience in training large models and working with state-of-the-art approaches.
• Proficiency with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Knowledge of advanced AI architectures.
• Programming skills in Python or similar languages.
• Familiarity with pre-training, fine-tuning and evaluating LLMs such as LLaMA, Mistral, Qwen, etc., is a significant plus.

The position is located in Mountain View, California, and requires candidates to be based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate. The role involves working on-site in their South Bay office a few days a week.
