Guerrilla is seeking a Principal Tools Programmer to contribute to the development of the Decima Engine's Editor. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills and a passion for user experience. Guerrilla built Decima, an award-winning, industry-leading engine designed from the ground up. The Tools Team at Guerrilla is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the Decima Editor. The Decima Editor is used both in-house and externally by hundreds of artists and designers to develop extraordinary open world games!

What this role involves:

  • Working in a team of software engineers, interacting closely with artists and designers.
  • Establishing requirements, designing & implementing improvements to enable growth of the editors’ feature set and the editor performance.
  • Bringing advancements from the wider Game-Dev Tools and DCC industry to the Decima Editor.
  • Collaborating with the lead to define longer term initiatives and roadmaps.
  • Writing high quality, maintainable code and elevate others around you to do the same.
  • Contributing to the vision for content-authoring tools within a large, dynamic games studio.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of DCC/GUI Tools Development experience in the games industry or a related industry.
  • Experience as a C++ programmer with excellent software design and architecture skills.
  • Skills in algorithms, software design & architecture, and debugging.
  • Comfortable working within a very large existing codebase and toolset.
  • Excellent written & verbal communicator.
