Job Description

FERNRIDE is seeking a Staff Autonomous & Teleoperation Systems Test Engineer (f/d/m) to join their team in Germany. The candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing test plans for new projects and software developments in collaboration with developers. They will execute test cases and scenarios in real-world conditions, create tooling and automations to enhance testing efficiency, and coordinate with various teams to ensure system requirements are met. The candidate will also champion issue documentation and provide clear communication on test progress.

This role involves:

  • Designing, developing, implementing, and managing test plans
  • Executing test cases and scenarios in real-world conditions
  • Creating tooling and automations to enhance testing efficiency
  • Coordinating with developers, system engineers, and project managers
  • Championing issue documentation
  • Providing clear communication on test progress

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in relevant areas
  • Strong system testing skills (test automation capabilities are a plus)
  • Software testing skills are a plus
  • Understanding of Linux operating system internals (ROS2 experience is a plus) and hands-on experience
  • Experience with software development projects and software release cycles
  • Proven track record of requirement-based testing is a plus
