Legal Counsel (Privacy and Data Protection)

Job Description

HoYoverse is seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in Privacy and Data Protection to join their team in Singapore. This role involves developing and implementing data protection policies to ensure compliance with data privacy laws. The candidate will provide privacy support for new product launches, conduct Privacy Impact Assessments, and manage data privacy matters. They will also track data access, stay updated on data privacy trends, and design training programs.

• Developing and implementing data protection and privacy policies and programs
• Providing privacy support to new product launches and initiatives
• Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments
• Managing and following up with Data Privacy matters
• Executing data governance policies and initiatives
• Tracking and managing data access and data subject requests
• Keeping up-to-date on data privacy trends and changes in legislation
• Compiling and updating compliance records
• Designing and implementing training activities
• Participating in projects within or across departments

• Bachelor degree or above
• Common law or EU (any EU jurisdiction) qualified lawyer with at least 3-5 years PQE
• Familiar with data privacy laws and regulations in SG
• Good communication skills
• Prior experience in gaming or TMT industry preferred
• Excellent written and spoken English
