HoYoverse, a global company committed to providing immersive virtual world experiences, is seeking a detail-oriented Script Proofreader. The role involves collaborating with a team of talented individuals to ensure the highest quality of its game content. HoYoverse values community and consistently explores cutting-edge game development technologies. The company has offices in Singapore, Montreal, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Seoul, and other areas.

Responsibilities:

• Proofreading scripts and other related materials.
• Proofreading in-game text.
• Proofreading other text related to the title.

Requirements:

• Applicants must have graduated from junior college, university, graduate school, technical college, or vocational school.
• Ability to follow style guides (regulations, instructions, etc.) to create appropriate text.
• Ability to proofread text to be grammatically correct, natural, expressive, and engaging in Japanese.
• Confident knowledge of certain cultural and literary areas, e.g., Japanese poetry, classics/modern, classical Japanese, historical kana usage, Western poetry, Western painting translation style, etc.

Nice to have:

• Experience in game-related writing or scenario writing.
• Practical experience in text proofreading such as script proofreading, copyediting, or book editing.
• Experience in writing fan fiction or original fiction.
• Reading comprehension to adjust inconsistencies within a story.
• Ability to read Chinese.
