Job Description
GoFundMe is seeking a Staff Data Analyst to join its Data Insights team's Business Intelligence initiative. This role is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and involves building scalable reporting and business decision-making tools to answer company questions, optimize workflows, and improve efficiency. The Staff Data Analyst will work to translate data into consumable operational and strategic dashboards.
Responsibilities:
- Build performant, scalable, and extensible data models and dashboards
- Translate large amounts of data into consumable operational and strategic dashboards and reports
- Capture reporting and important metric requirements from partners
- Participate in the development of the Business Intelligence roadmap
- Lead and mentor junior analysts
Requirements:
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in data architecture, and business intelligence, or a related field.
- 4+ years of advanced SQL experience working with large datasets
- 3+ years of experience with BI tools and technologies (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
- Experience working with Marketing analytics and Senior Leadership
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. dbt) and advanced SQL skills.
- Solid understanding of Business Intelligence tool development and maintenance
- Advanced knowledge of standard processes for data visualization, data governance, and scalable reporting.
- Superb communication skills; ability to translate questions from collaborators into data needs
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, ETL processes, and data quality principles.
- High level of curiosity and problem solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
