GoFundMe is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Communications Platform engineering team in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The company's mission is to help people help each other through technology. The Senior Software Engineer will help build and scale mission-critical communication solutions, including emails, push notifications, and SMS. Also, enhance user engagement through user-to-user chats and group chats. The role involves owning and driving scalable resilient solutions that applications and experience teams rely on.
The Job Involves:
- Refining and executing communication platform initiatives.
- Designing and implementing end-to-end solutions.
- Collaborating with engineers, product management, and external partners.
- Mentoring junior developers.
- Advocating for improvements to the codebase.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in backend development.
- Experience designing services and systems using well-accepted design patterns.
- Skilled at leading projects from conception to completion.
- Experience in analyzing, diagnosing, and preventing performance problems.
- Experience with Rest APIs, Microservices, Spring Boot, Java or Kotlin.
