Job Description
Jumia, a leading pan-African e-commerce platform, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Cairo Tech Center. This role involves mentoring data scientists, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and communicating analytical findings to stakeholders. The Senior Data Scientist will develop and maintain data pipelines, perform in-depth data analysis, and apply machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights. They will also contribute to the development, deployment, and monitoring of predictive models.
What this role involves:

Requirements:
- Proven leadership skills.

- Expertise in Python, SQL, and relational databases.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud-serverless technologies.
- Familiarity with big data tools and frameworks.
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Data Science, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
