Jumia, a leading pan-African e-commerce platform, is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer (Angular) to join their team in Porto, Portugal. In this role, the developer will work within an agile team to create scalable solutions using state-of-the-art technologies. They will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to deployment. The developer will also be responsible for constructing and testing software components, taking ownership of their code, and supporting colleagues through code reviews.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in Frontend development.
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Consolidated professional experience building high-quality, performant JavaScript applications.
  • Consolidated experience in JavaScript frameworks/libraries, such as ReactJS, VueJS or AngularJS (preference).
  • Write and test interactive, clean, secure and efficient solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of algorithms and distributed systems.
  • Academic background in IT or equivalent.
