Job Description

Jumia, a leading pan-African e-commerce platform, is seeking an AI/LLM Engineer Intern to support its Cybersecurity team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies and large language models (LLMs) to enhance security measures and incident response capabilities. The intern will collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams, contributing to improving Jumia’s security posture and automating tasks.

The role involves:

• Deploying and fine-tuning LLMs for cybersecurity use cases.
• Developing custom AI applications for real-time threat intelligence.
• Assisting in identifying and mitigating cybersecurity threats using AI-powered tools.
• Optimizing AI-driven alert mechanisms for proactive incident detection.
• Collaborating with the SecOps team to integrate AI for automation and efficiency.
• Supporting incident response activities by creating and integrating AI workflows.
• Delivering technical documentation for AI implementations, models, and workflows.

Requirements include:

• Exposure to cybersecurity tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS) and practices.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and certifications (CISSP, CEH, or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD methodologies and version control systems (Git, Jenkins).
• Ability to automate tasks and debug code.
• Knowledge of LLM fine-tuning and NLP pipelines.
• Awareness of the cyber threat landscape.
