Job Description
Click Therapeutics is seeking a Business Development Director to extend the company’s technology platform. The director will source deal opportunities, structure business deals, and close transactions.Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a pipeline of deal opportunities.
- Lead end-to-end deal processes, including sourcing, diligence, structuring terms, and driving negotiations.
- Expand Click’s partnering presence in the industry.
- Contribute to broader business development strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential partners and industry stakeholders.
- Represent Click at conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Develop a deep understanding of the science underlying Click’s mechanisms of action.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, clinical news and deal activity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required; Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MBA) preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in life sciences industry required.
- Out-licensing experience to pharma / biotech industry strongly preferred.
- Investment banking experience also acceptable.
- International or cross-border experience a plus.
- Strong grasp of the fundamentals of pharmaceutical drug discovery, development, and commercialization.
- Self-starter, highly motivated hunter.
- Track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing partnerships with positive results.
- Extensive network of healthcare industry contacts.
- Ability to relate and work with wide range of colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Superior problem-solving ability.
- Superb writing and communication skills.
- Adaptable to a dynamic atmosphere of changing requirements and scope.
