Senior Fullstack Engineer at HomeLight

HomeLight is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join their team and contribute to the future of real estate. The company's technology platform assists homebuyers and sellers in partnering with top real estate agents to achieve success in their real estate endeavors. This role involves collaboration, designing scalable services, and improving codebases through refactoring and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable and performant services.
• Improving codebases through refactoring, unit testing, and automation.
• Reviewing code and providing feedback.
• Understanding business requirements and working with stakeholders.
• Thinking beyond technical implications of design decisions.
• Making engineering and product decisions based on data analysis and collaboration.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience as an engineer.
• 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails along with either Go, Python (Django), Next.js/Node.js (javascript).
• 3+ years of experience with one of the frontend frameworks: React, Vue.js, Angular, Svelte.
• Experience designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining service-oriented architecture.
• Strong experience with relational and non-relational database technologies.
• Ability to deal with ambiguous and complex project requirements.
• Proficiency in English, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with observability and monitoring systems (NewRelic, Cloudwatch, Sentry).
