FinOps Planning Analyst

Job Description

Wildlife is seeking a FinOps Planning Analyst to join its Cloud Economics team. The analyst will be responsible for understanding costs, analyzing drivers, and identifying risks and opportunities. They will build the technology budget, track actual costs, and work with technology teams to avoid deviations. The role involves setting enriched goals for teams, establishing benchmarks for costs and resource usage.

Role involves:

• Mastering CSP expenses and billing criteria.
• Producing monthly reports on IT infrastructure usage.
• Owning the monthly accruals process for IT.
• Identifying technical drivers for each cost/vendor.
• Presenting opportunities to improve resource usage and reduce costs.
• Producing the annual technology budget.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Solid experience with cost analysis and forecasting (IT desirable).
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Data Discovery Tooling experience (e.g., Looker, PowerBI).
• Knowledge of public cloud providers (preferably AWS).
• Experience with large unstructured data sets and SQL.
• Advanced English level.
