Lead Financial Strategist, Revenue

Job Description

Mozilla Corporation is seeking a Lead Financial Strategist, Revenue, to lead its revenue forecasting and modeling function. This role is responsible for key deliverables to senior leadership and will oversee developing cross-functional business partnerships, leading special projects, improving processes, financial reporting, and assisting with implementing business intelligence tools. The ideal candidate will develop creative solutions to abstract strategic problems, deliver their work in a compelling format, and balance big-picture thinking with outstanding attention to detail.What this role involves:

• Leadership of revenue forecasts and planning processes for Mozilla.
• Strong partnership collaboration with DRIs, cross-functional teams, FP&A and analytics teams.
• Build and maintain a library of financial models used to evaluate the impact of investment opportunities.
• Expand financial modeling capabilities to increase the efficiency and accuracy of FP&A's forecast.
• Influence revenue and operational performance measurements.
• Lead frequent ad hoc projects to support management and business decisions.

Requirements:

• 7-10+ years of related experience, specifically developing Search, SaaS, and Advertising models.
• Understanding of revenue recognition principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to partner/form relationships.
• Proven understanding of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with business intelligence dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar BI tools is required.
• Experience telling stories with data and creatively approaching complexities.
