Performance Test Engineer Lead

Job Description

Preservica, a world-leader in digital preservation, is seeking a Performance Test Engineer Lead to join their Software Quality team. The successful candidate will play a key role in strategizing, implementing, and optimizing performance testing for Preservica's systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performing applications. This is a hands-on position requiring both technical expertise and the ability to mentor junior team members while driving improvements in performance testing practices across the business. Preservica believes in hiring strong technical talent and then supporting that talent to grow with them.

Role involves:

• Designing and implementing detailed performance testing plans.
• Developing and maintaining automated performance testing suites.
• Integrating automated performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Establishing and maintaining key performance metrics.
• Conducting in-depth performance analysis.
• Working closely with engineers and operational teams to diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Performance Testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, etc.
• Hands on use of monitoring tools ie Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, or similar
• Experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, Kubernetes, Docker, Rabbit MQ (or similar)
• Ability to script and modify solutions in Python, Bash, Java, etc.
• Experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Relevant performance testing certifications or qualifications.
