Procurement Manager

Job Description

Xaira Therapeutics, an innovative biotech startup, is seeking a Procurement Manager to develop and manage supplier relationships. This role optimizes the company's bottom line and fuels product development. The Procurement Manager reports to the Business Operations team and collaborates closely with Finance, Scientists, Researchers, and Administrative personnel.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts.
• Supplier relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Contract management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers.
• Cost analysis: Identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze market trends.
• Procurement Process & Technology Optimization.
• Risk management: Identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Performance monitoring: Develop and track key procurement metrics.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Financial acumen
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
• Project management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or Science
• 4+ years experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain
• Relevant experience in the Life Science, Data Science or Medical Device industry, Knowledge of ISO and FDA regulations preferred.
• Experience with Procurement software.
