Middle Back-End Software Engineer - Ruby/Rails at Knowde

Knowde is seeking a Middle Back-End Software Engineer to join their Engineering team and contribute to building the first digital marketplace for the chemical industry. The engineer will be involved in inventing, designing, refining, and delivering products that will transform the industry. The role offers the opportunity to work within a small, remote team and directly influence the product's future.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to building a complex e-commerce marketplace.
• Ship features quickly without sacrificing code quality.
• Own projects from design to deployment.
• Implement cutting-edge technologies and write state-of-the-art code.
• Emphasize simplicity and pragmatism in code.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Ruby and Rails (3+ years).
• Strong understanding of SQL.
• Ability to take tasks from requirements to deployment.
• Ability to work within distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience designing and building scalable, high-availability systems and APIs.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to design and implement clear and scalable project structures.
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Fluent in English and Polish.
