New Business Underwriter/Producer - P&C

Job Description

Jencap is seeking a New Business Underwriter/Producer to join their team in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on new business development, including marketing, managing, and retaining a growing book of business while building client relationships and providing responsive service. The New Business Underwriter/Producer will work from the Charlotte, NC office.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively develop and present proposals.
• Negotiate/execute new and renewal production goals.
• Develop and pursue prospects through various methods.
• Secure information, present proposals, and process new accounts.
• Document conversations and materials in the electronic file.
• Assist in resolving coverage issues, audits, and claims.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of Underwriting, Broker, or Sr. Underwriting experience.
• Experience with Packaged & Monoline Policies, P&C, Transportation, and Garage.
• Experience in developing new business.
• Willingness to travel within the territory.
• Maintain state-issued P&C license.
