Sr. Back-End Software Engineer - Ruby/Rails at Knowde

Knowde is seeking a talented Sr. Back-End Engineer to join their Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of a digital marketplace for the chemical industry.Knowde empowers employees to collaborate directly with leadership and the product team, influencing code decisions and the product's future. The role emphasizes swift feature deployment while maintaining code quality. The engineer will manage projects from design to implementation and deployment.

• Contributing to building a complex ecommerce marketplace
• Owning projects from software design to implementation and deployment
• Implementing cutting-edge technologies and writing state-of-the-art code

Requirements:

• Very good knowledge of Ruby language and Rails framework
• Great knowledge of SQL
• Good knowledge of Sinatra is a plus
• Ability to take tasks from requirements to deployment quickly and independently
• Ability to work within distributed, multidisciplinary teams
• Design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs
• High bar for quality and a phenomenal attention to detail
• Working knowledge of deployment process (Capistrano), user authentication and authorization (Devise)
• Ability to properly design and implement clear and scalable project structure
• Experience with test-driven development
• Fluent in speaking and writing English
• Experience in web service deployments
