New Business Underwriter/Producer - P&C Binding, Shreveport, LA

Job Description

Jencap is seeking a motivated Producer/New Business Underwriter to focus on new business development within the Garage and Transportation vertical. This role involves marketing, managing, and retaining a growing book of business while building client relationships and providing excellent service. The candidate will work from the Houston, TX office.Responsibilities:

• Effectively develop and present proposals.
• Negotiate new and renewal production goals.
• Develop prospects through solicitation and networking.
• Secure information and present proposals.
• Coordinate and process new business efficiently.
• Document all conversations and materials.
• Assist in resolving coverage, audits, and claims issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years Underwriting, Broker, or Sr. Underwriting experience.
• Experience in Packaged & Monoline Polices; P&C, Transportation and Garage.
• Experience in developing new business.
• Willingness to travel within the territory.
• Maintain state-issued P&C license.
