Remote Contractor: Accounts Payable Analyst (Philippines base, US hours) at Newsela

Newsela is seeking a Remote Accounts Payable Analyst Contractor based in the Philippines. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact process improvement and system implementation, streamlining operations and enhancing the quality of the accounts payable process. The contractor will play a direct role in enabling Newsela's efficient growth and expansion, ultimately contributing to the increased availability of engaging, culturally responsive learning content in K-12 schools and districts across the nation.Role involves:

• Processing and coding invoices and expense reports.
• Scaling accounting operations (processes and systems).
• Monitoring the Accounts Payable inbox.
• Managing employee expense reports.
• Monitoring credit card transactions and compliance.
• Working with vendors on e-payment enrollment.
• Collaborating with FP&A for business operations insights.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Accounting experience with a US SaaS company preferred.
• Ability to work 8 hours a day Monday - Friday between 20:00 - 8:00 GMT+8.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience with accounting software like Bill.com, Navan, Ramp, and Netsuite
• Proficiency with GoogleSuite.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and a problem-solver.
