Platform Engineer

Job Description

Jun Group is seeking a Platform Engineer to join its DevOps team and help manage its growing initiatives. The Platform Engineer will be responsible for automating infrastructure provisioning, developing CI/CD pipelines, managing Kubernetes clusters, and ensuring platform scalability and reliability. They will also provide operational support and guide development teams on infrastructure best practices.Role involves:

• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform
• Developing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
• Managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE)
• Creating and maintaining Helm charts for applications and services
• Ensuring platform scalability, reliability, and availability (load balancing, auto-scaling, disaster recovery)
• Setting up and managing observability and monitoring solutions (Grafana, New Relic, OpenTelemetry)
• Providing operational support for primary revenue-generating applications, participating proactively in incident resolution
• Guiding development teams on infrastructure best practices, security standards, and platform usage
• Contributing to the team's on-call rotation

Requirements:

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Ruby/Rails, Elixir, Python, JavaScript (JQuery, AngularJS, Vue.js)
• Experience with AWS - EKS, ECS, RDS (MySQL, PostgresSQL, Redis, Elasticache, CodePipeline)
• Experience with GCP - GKE, BiqQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Cloud Build)
