Platform Engineer (Remote / Contract)

Job Description

Jun Group is seeking a Platform Engineer to join its DevOps team on a contract basis. The Platform Engineer will be responsible for managing the company's diverse and growing set of initiatives. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the US or outside of the US, with the expectation of collaborating with the US-based engineering team during their business hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
• Develop, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
• Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE)
• Create and maintain Helm charts for applications and services
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and availability (load balancing, auto-scaling, disaster recovery)
• Set up and manage observability and monitoring solutions (Grafana, New Relic, OpenTelemetry)
• Provide operational support for primary revenue-generating applications, participating proactively in incident resolution
• Guide development teams on infrastructure best practices, security standards, and platform usage
• Contribute to the team's on-call rotation

Requirements:
