Job Description
Schrödinger is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join its global marketing team and organize regional marketing activities for the life science and materials science business in Europe. This is a one-year parental leave coverage position based in Mannheim, Germany. He/she will contribute to improving human health and quality of life through advanced computational methods.She will be responsible for:
- Planning and executing in-person conferences, trade shows, user events, workshops, and online events.
- Coordinating pre-show activities, customer promotions, event logistics, sponsorships, booth setup, and event staffing.
- Implementing digital and hybrid concepts to support sales success.
- Collaborating with vendors to coordinate deadlines, on-site requirements, and other logistical needs.
- Tracking and monitoring expenses and maintaining detailed records to ensure events stay within budget.
- Coordinating post-show activities, managing leads, and following up with commercial teams.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and preparing reports, including tracking of KPIs/ROI analysis.
- Providing support for general marketing activities and driving regional brand representation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, or related discipline.
- Excellent English skills; German and/or French would be a plus.
- Two to three years of marketing experience, ideally in life science or materials science industries.
- Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or other CRM/Marketing Automation software.
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Project Management experience, including software tools (i.e., Asana).
