Job Description
Schrödinger is looking for a Solutions Architect to improve human health and quality of life. The Solutions Architect will work directly with customers, scientists, and developers to deploy, configure, and tune the company's suite of molecular modeling and informatics applications. They will also maintain Schrödinger’s internal scientific computing resources and work with individuals within software environments. In conversations with Product Managers, they will be the voice of the customer.
What this role involves:
- Ensuring the software performs optimally in the customer environment.
- Designing and implementing deployment strategies and interfaces for integration with customer systems.
- Helping customers tackle technical issues by creating solutions.
- Working with customers on the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications.
- Collaborating with product managers, developers and scientists, to improve deployment, support, and configuration of applications
- Partnering with global IT team to support and improve Schrödinger’s internal infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with the Linux OS and proficiency in a scripting language like bash or Python.
- Research informatics background in the pharmaceutical industry or scientific space.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Cloud computing expertise with at least one major resource provider (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of web-based applications (i.e., REST APIs).
- An interest in chem- or bioinformatics, material science, computational, or organic chemistry.
