Datacentre Network Engineer at XTX Markets

XTX Markets, a leading algorithmic trading firm, is seeking a Datacentre Network Engineer for their data centre campus in Kajaani, Finland. The Datacentre Network Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the data centre network, supporting XTX Markets' high-performance computing infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Deploying new infrastructure, including network devices, cross-connects, structured cabling, and backbone/server-facing network connections.
• Conducting hardware installations, upgrades, and repairs.
• Coordinating with IT vendors for maintenance and support.
• Handling inventory management and logistics.
• Supporting the execution of large-scale projects.
• Contributing to network design and equipment selection.

Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience in data centres with high-speed networking technologies.
• Strong knowledge of networking hardware, software, and configuration.
• Familiarity with international shipping and supply chains.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Finnish.
• Understanding of network security measures.
• Outgoing and personable with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Punctual, reliable, and highly organized.
• Proactive and assertive in identifying opportunities.
