Data Engineering Manager

DATAPAO is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to expand their world-class data engineering team. The Engineering Manager will lead one of the newly formed data engineering teams, comprising 5-6 consultants, and will oversee project delivery, manage and mentor the team, and ensure the successful execution of data engineering, ML/ML Ops, and cloud migration projects for EMEA and US customers. The role involves hands-on contributions and leadership in specialized areas such as Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.

What this role involves:

• Overseeing project delivery for data engineering, ML/ML Ops, and cloud migration projects.
• Managing and mentoring a team of 5-6 data engineering consultants.
• Hands-on execution of data engineering tasks.
• Leading a specialized data engineering team in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
• Building and optimizing scalable, high-performance data pipelines.
• Delivering structured, analytics-ready datasets for business intelligence.

Requirements:

• Consultant mindset with a passion for customer experience.
• Solid software engineering foundations.
• Experience with data-intensive applications, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Experience mentoring and growing people.
• Proven track record of scaling up dynamic and high-performing teams.
