AI Software Engineer (f/m/d)

Job Description

Contentful is seeking an AI Software Engineer to join their AI Platform team. This role involves building and maintaining an internal AI platform to accelerate innovation across the organization. The AI Software Engineer will develop scalable, high-performance AI integrations, APIs, tools, and documentation to empower feature teams to efficiently test, deliver, and maintain AI-driven products.

The role acts as a support and consultancy resource, collaborating with feature teams to enhance their development capabilities and bring AI-powered solutions to life. By building intuitive internal tooling and fostering seamless integration of AI technologies, the AI Software Engineer's work will drive efficiency and innovation throughout Contentful.

What the role involves:

• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build AI-enabled features.
• Implementing and integrating AI technologies like generative AI, machine learning models, and NLP.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable AI platform features.
• Implementing governance features such as metrics tracking, audit logs, security measures, and RBAC.
• Thinking critically about the interactions between AI models and product components.
• Fixing bugs and solving problems related to AI performance, model integration, or data pipeline issues.
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to improving AI development processes.

Requirements:

• Experience integrating and implementing AI/ML solutions.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Experience with building and maintaining asynchronous systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Adaptability in a dynamic AI-driven environment.
