Contentful is seeking an AI Software Engineer to join its AI Platform team. This role involves building and maintaining an internal AI platform that accelerates innovation across the organization. The engineer will develop scalable, high-performance AI integrations, APIs, tools, and documentation to empower feature teams to efficiently test, deliver, and maintain AI-driven products.

Acting as a support and consultancy resource, the engineer will collaborate closely with feature teams to enhance their development capabilities and bring AI-powered solutions to life. By building intuitive internal tooling and fostering seamless integration of AI technologies, their work will drive efficiency and innovation throughout Contentful.

What the role involves:

  • Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build AI-enabled features.
  • Implementing AI technologies such as generative AI, machine learning models, or NLP.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable AI platform features.
  • Implementing governance features like metrics tracking, audit logs and security measures.
  • Thinking critically about the interactions between AI models and product components.
  • Fixing bugs and solving problems related to AI performance or data pipeline issues.
  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to improving AI development processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience integrating and implementing AI/ML solutions.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Experience with building and maintaining asynchronous systems.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads.
