Doctolib is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Core Backend team, ATP, responsible for building and maintaining the backend foundations of Doctolib's applicative services. This role involves technical leadership and people management, coaching team members, setting the team's roadmap, and ensuring business objectives are met.
The Engineering Manager will work within the Platform domain, focusing on abstracting and maintaining complex systems to enable product teams to build products faster for healthcare providers and patients. The team concentrates on core backend foundations, emphasizing quality, scalability, and usability. They will set standards for security, reliability, performance, and scalability and partner with talent and people teams to recruit, develop, and retain talent.
Role Involves:
- Driving growth and performance of team members
- Setting the team's roadmap and owning delivery and quality
- Participating in code reviews
- Leading cross-functional initiatives to improve the engineering team
- Defining a mission and vision for the team with the product partner
- Ensuring security, reliability, performance, and scalability
- Participating in architecture reviews
- Partnering with talent and people teams to recruit, develop, and retain talent
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years of management experience
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Java/Kotlin, Typescript, and React
- Understanding of the value of testing code
- Ability to adapt to efficient technologies
- Experience developing efficient, maintainable, and secure products
- Comfortable speaking English
- Experience leading Platform initiatives (Bonus)
- Understanding of cloud infrastructures and security topics (Bonus)
