Job Description
Numeus is seeking a Quantitative Research Engineer to enhance the productivity of their quantitative researchers. The successful candidate will develop innovative tools and systems that streamline the research process and improve data analysis capabilities.
The role involves:
- Collaborating with quantitative researchers to understand their needs.
- Designing and maintaining software tools for research activities.
- Implementing advanced data processing techniques and statistical methods.
- Building scalable systems for large-scale data analysis.
- Conducting code reviews and providing technical guidance.
- Integrating research tools into the existing infrastructure.
- Evaluating and implementing third-party tools and data sources.
- Participating in research discussions and contributing technical expertise.
- Developing and maintaining documentation and training materials.
Requirements include:
- 4+ years of experience working with quantitative researchers.
- Previous experience at a quantitative hedge fund is strongly preferred.
- Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Exceptional Python programming skills.
- Experience with graph representation and analysis tools like NetworkX.
- Experience with open-source distributed computing tools in Python, such as Dask or Ray.
- Proficiency in data processing, analysis, and visualization using tools like Pandas, Plotly, and SciPy.
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
- Solid understanding of the differences between L1, L2 and L3 market tick data
- Experience with AWS, Linux and Docker
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to travel periodically between offices in London, NYC, and Zug, Switzerland
Numeus offers:
- The base salary for this role is anticipated to be between $150,000 and $225,000
