Senior Accountant

Job Description

Schrödinger is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in monitoring and maintaining the company’s financial success. This role offers opportunity, with a team, at intersection of tech and pharmaceutical science.

Role Involves:

• Coordinating with external auditors for audits.
• Leading or assisting in monthly and quarterly close procedures.
• Researching and documenting complex accounting issues.
• Analyzing new accounting pronouncements.
• Collaborating with outside firms to prepare federal and state tax returns.
• Compiling and organizing documentation for annual tax studies.
• Ensuring internal control compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA designation strongly preferred).
• Minimum of 4+ years of relevant accounting experience or 2+ years in public accounting.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software and accounting ERP systems.
• Experience with Workiva WDesk or similar software a plus.
• Familiarity with tax accounting is a significant plus.
