Job Description

Schrödinger is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join its Information Security team in New York. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding information assets and systems, with a direct impact on protecting users and data. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will help shape technology and organizational transformations within a company that has a significant cloud footprint.

The role involves:

  • Designing and implementing secure cloud architectures.
  • Staying up to date on emerging threats and vulnerabilities in cloud security.
  • Developing documentation and training for cloud and developer security.
  • Functioning as part of a cross-functional team that specializes in cybersecurity.
  • Recommending plans of action to respond and adapt to changing landscape.

Requirements include:

  • CCSP, GIAC, CISSP, other security credentials or related experience.
  • Experience with cloud environments, in particular Google Compute Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Service (AWS), and Microsoft Azure.
  • Deep familiarity with cloud security platforms, such as Wiz, Orca Security, Divvycloud, Palo Alto Prisma Cloud, etc.
  • Experience with developing security practices and tools, such as SAST, DAST, CI/CD, SCA, etc.
  • Additional understanding of other cybersecurity practices, such as encryption, identity and access management (IAM), network security, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Programming experience using Python, Terraform, OPA, ruby, etc.
