Job Description
Schrödinger is seeking an Account Director to join their APAC sales team and manage business in China. The Account Director will identify opportunities to grow the company's software and services business with new and existing accounts in the life science and materials science industries. The role involves working closely with Schrödinger’s applications scientists, product managers, senior company leadership, and other account managers in a collaborative team environment. This position offers the opportunity to interact with prominent scientists and executives in the industry.
What this role involves: - Managing software business and accounts in China
- Creating and implementing strategic sales plans for the Chinese market
- Refining the channel sales strategy for the China sales territory
- Accurately forecasting all new and renewal business opportunities in Salesforce
- Developing and maintaining relationships with contacts at various levels in accounts
- Communicating client feedback to Schrödinger Product Managers and Support teams
- Collecting and communicating industry trends in the Chinese market to Schrödinger management
Requirements: - Minimum of five years of successful software sales experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of solution selling and strategic sales approaches
- Verifiable history of positive customer relationships
- A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or a related science
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- Flexible work schedule to overlap business hours in US Pacific and China
- Ability and willingness to travel to China on a quarterly basis
