Platform Solutions Engineer, Japan at Workato

Workato is seeking a Platform Solutions Engineer in Tokyo, Japan. Workato, a leader in enterprise orchestration, helps businesses streamline operations by connecting data, processes, applications, and experiences. The Platform Solutions Engineer will enable customer-facing roles such as Solutions Consultants (pre-sales) and Technical Consultants (post-sales) to accelerate the time to deliver their goals towards customers and supercharge Workato’s growth. The ideal candidate will also play an important role in ensuring that customers have the best support experience possible.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting account teams by being the technical expert who can develop rapid automation solutions around high-impact customer use-cases.
• Gathering requirements and lead the solution design process jointly with customer-facing Solutions Consultants.
• Developing capabilities and features based on customer requirements and extending Workato connector capabilities via HTTP and SDK.
• Working closely with Product and Engineering to review customer requirements and feedback.
• Improving internal processes and promoting knowledge sharing by contributing to Workato’s knowledge base.
• Delivering timely resolution of user requests and incidents, ensuring efficient tracking, follow-up, and escalation of issues.

Requirements include:

• Degree in information systems, computing, engineering, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• Experience working with Workato or other integration platforms.
• Experience integrating with complex enterprise systems.
• Experience working with cloud business apps.
• Experience with developing process orchestration use-cases and automation routines.
• Strong working knowledge with APIs - RESTful.
• Sound knowledge of Data Structure - JSON.
• Coding experience (Java/Python).
• Sound knowledge of any RDBMS.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
