Senior Data Steward at LetsGetChecked

LetsGetChecked is seeking a Senior Data Steward to take full ownership of all data assets. The candidate will ensure data is properly managed and utilized across the organization. This role involves overseeing the entire data lifecycle, maintaining data quality, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The Senior Data Steward will work closely with various teams to integrate governance practices and contribute to the data strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire data lifecycle
• Catalog and maintain an inventory of data sets
• Create and maintain a comprehensive data quality roadmap
• Introduce and enforce data integrity checks and controls
• Manage the quality and maintenance of master data
• Work with product teams to improve internal data quality
• Assist in the development and implementation of data strategy
• Ensure compliance with regulations like HIPAA and GDPR
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data management
• Perform data profiling and curation for new and existing data sources
• Provide guidance on data governance standards
• Investigate and resolve data anomalies and integration issues
• Create and maintain best practices for data definitions
• Contribute to the long-term data governance strategy
• Mentor and train other stakeholders on governance practices

Requirements:

• 5+ years in data management, data governance, or a related field
• Understanding of data governance frameworks
• Ability to develop, implement, and enforce data policies
• Experience in defining stewardship roles and responsibilities
• Familiarity with global data protection laws
• Risk Management skills
• Expertise in assessing and ensuring data quality
• Experience in implementing MDM practices
• Proficiency in data modeling techniques
• Experience with integrating data across different systems
• Strong ability to work with various teams
• Clear and persuasive communication skills
• Familiarity with tools that support data governance activities
• Ability to leverage data analytics to monitor and report on governance metrics
• Ability to manage large-scale data governance projects
• Experience in developing and executing a data governance strategy
