Workato is seeking a Senior Platform/CICD Engineer to join their Infrastructure/CICD team. The engineer will contribute to building a modern, cloud-native internal platform solution based on Temporal, focusing on cost optimization, availability, stability, security, and developer experience. This role involves maintaining and enhancing existing platform solutions, onboarding Workato components and applications, and implementing complex deployment scenarios, including canary deployments and chaos engineering. The engineer will collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer throughput and service quality through rigorous testing and release processes. Data analysis from CICD pipelines will be used to improve performance and stability.Responsibilities include system design consulting, platform management, architecture reviews, and documenting development processes. The candidate will drive automation improvements for code integration, quality testing, security scanning, and deployment.
- Participate in building Internal Platform solution
- Maintain and enhance current solutions
- On-board Workato components & applications
- Implement complex deployment scenarios
- Work with engineering teams to improve throughput
- Gather and analyze metrics from CICD pipelines
- Participate in system design consulting
- Work Document development processes
- BS or MS in the CS field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years professional experience
- Experience with cloud-based architectures like Amazon Web Services
- Experience creating application deployments of Kubernetes-based services
- Experience creating scalable development and integration pipelines
- Experience with creating internal platform tooling
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, JavaScript, Python, with preference to Go
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and web services architecture
- Experience with managing complex infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools
- Hands-on experience with containers
- Familiarity with software packaging tools, functional testing, security validation tools and services, code coverage tools
