Software Engineer, Fullstack (Intern)

Job Description

Cresta, a Series D startup spun out of the Stanford AI lab, is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer Intern to join their team in Toronto. Cresta is on a mission to revolutionize knowledge work by applying AI to improve call center operations. The intern will have the opportunity to work on various Cresta products, including Cresta Opera, Cresta Platform, and Cresta Studio, leveraging the latest LLM technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior engineers to write high-quality code for both frontend and backend.
• Build products that apply ML/AI at the core.
• Improve engineering productivity.
• Integrate with tools for CI/CD, test automation, monitoring, logging, and documentation.

Requirements:

• Experience coding in modern programming languages like Python, Go, Java for backend and JavaScript, TypeScript for frontend.
• Understanding of the modern front-end ecosystem and experience applying frameworks/tools (React.js, Webpack, and Node.js).
• Comfortable defining and building robust APIs (REST, RPC frameworks, Websockets).
• Experience with database schema design and query performance.
