Workato is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their Quality Engineering team in Barcelona. Workato is the leader in enterprise orchestration, helping businesses globally streamline operations by connecting data, processes, applications, and experiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the test infrastructure and enhancing existing automated test cases using modern CI/CD deployment technologies.

The role involves:
  • Acting as the main TestOps engineer for the team.
  • Maintaining test infrastructure, analyzing test runs, and debugging test failures.
  • Enhancing existing automated test cases and designing new robust test cases.
  • Working closely with Engineering teams to reproduce automation issues.
  • Participating in end-to-end test cycles for product features.
  • Identifying, documenting, and debugging software defects.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education.
  • 10+ years of Software Quality Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, C++, etc.) and one scripting language (Ruby, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (RSpec, Pytest, Playwright).
  • Experience with building and managing test cases.
  • Understanding of various test methodologies: regression, functional, performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented.
